Meat magic! : Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie

Of procedure my old Weber rotisserie did not line up with my new Weber Genesis grill, so I had to buy a whole new one. My old one had a nice large wood handle. The new one has an oval metal handle that sits at right angle to the rod and it gets as hot as if were inside the grill. You have to use pot holders to remove it when the food is done. Also the handle needs to be in the up position in order to grab hold of it because it sits about a half an inch away from the grill body when it's facing down so there's no space to grab it. Because the handle does not enlarge out, you need two hands on the spit to retain the weight of the food. An in effect horrendous design, perhaps even dangerous. Lastly; why does Weber contain cheap metal screws, nuts and washers for mounting the motor bracket when everything else is stainless steel? They corrode in no time with the heat and grease. I supplanted mine with stainless.
Aside from the poor handle design, for cooking the set-up works great. We use ours all the time; roasts, pork tenderloin, chicken, turkey.

Starting with the 4 stainless steel burners, the T480 rates at 48,000 BTUs for the primary cooking area and is complimented by a 10,000 BTU flush mounted sideburner, both started with an easy to use electronic ignitiion system. The large cooking area with 480 square inches of primary space and 205 square inches of secondary space, is more than ample for entertaining guests with your best recipes. The cooking surface is composed of porcelain stamped steel grates. The warming rack also has a porcelain coating for greater longevity and is often best used for lightly toasting buns/bread, or simply keeping food off of the main area so that items requiring different cooking times and temperatures may all be served hot at the same time. The outside of the grill features a black front control panel and fascias, stainless steel insert lid with temp. gauge, and full front panel, resulting in a clean full scale overall look. As with all grills, we recommend keeping the firebox clean to help avoid flare up as well as using a grill cover to protect your invesent..../ Char Broil T480 4-Burner 48,000 BTU Gas Grill, with Sideburner / Gas Bbqs

I like it! : Char Broil T480 4-Burner 48,000 BTU Gas Grill, with Sideburner

The only frustration with this grill is that the grease tray area is not removable like my previous Charbroil grill. My previous grill had an whole tray with a grease assembler that also slid out of that assembly. It made for indeed easy cleaning. I'm wondering how I'm going to clean this one without removing all of the burners. Except for that this grill is a great bargain. The stainless steel burners are so productive I have to cook with them turned down to approximately off. indeed can't go wrong with this deal from Amazon. I saved over $30 on this deal as compared to where I approximately ordered it at Sportsman's Guide.
