Not as good as advertised. Beware Fake Reviews. : Cuisinart CGG-180 Petit Gourmet Portable Gas Grill with VersaStand

I just got this delivered and put together. It was Super simple to do. Being handicapped, that was a concern for me. The assembly consisted of putting the caps on the bottom of the legs. Lol Done! No tools needed.

My second concern was its weight. Carrying it would also be a challenge if it were too heavy. It's Not. The top has a lock so the lid won't fly open as you carry it. The deal with is plentifulness big and the legs collapse under the unit so it is quite compact. The weight is 20 lbs. Not too light, not too heavy, so I Can carry it for short distances by myself, one-handed.

The legs are easy to open and close, as well as adjust. The height of the cooking covering when the legs are fully extended is only 29.5 inches. A bit low, but manageable. The height of my stationary unit's cooking covering is 33.5 inches from the ground. So a taller person probably would be very uncomfortable cooking for a long period of time on this unit. I'm 5'5" and it's a bit low for me, a well.

It Does take both sizes of bottled gas (so it says) that you can buy at the store, and an adapter hose is available to attach it to a 20 lb. Propane tank.

I haven't used it yet. I bought it for my camper, and I'm not sure when my next trip is, right now. Sooooooo I will be updating this review. I just thought that the stats and observations I listed might be of help to those of you still shopping around.

Update 1: I just found out that Cuisinart does not deal with this item. This is the response I got from them when I sent them a question about the product: "Fulham Group is handling our Cuisinart Gas Grill line. Questions about these products should be directed toward The Fulham Group. Please call their customer assistance at 1-866-994-6390, or you may E-mail kkahn@thefulhamgroup.com. A representative will gladly sustain you."

I also found that you had to register your grill through the Fulham Group as well. There is a qoute with registering it. Their on line form only lists up to 2010. I contacted them about it. They Know about the qoute and haven't fixed it. Their advice: "...we are aware of this odd glitch that occurred. We are in the process of revamping our website and it should be up and running properly soon. In the meantime, please hold onto your receipt. We easily honor the warranty even if you have not registered on line."

Surprisingly metal! : Char Broil Patio Bistro Infrared Gas Grill

I had been on the hunt for a small grill that wouldn't take up space with cheap plastic shelves and accessories I will never use. This grill is the perfect fit.
It took some exertion to assemble, but not as difficult as flat pack furniture. Surprisingly metal! I conception everything was plastic these days, but the only plastic here is found on the handles and the wheels.
Just under the operate knob there is a cope that makes it easy to move even when it's hot. The grill heats up real fast making it good for quick grilled meals. My first meal included 4 ears of grilled corn and two large steaks with a bit of room to spare.
My only comment is that the grease trap underneath seems to conflict with the wires for the electric ignition.

The only frustration with this grill is that the grease tray area is not removable like my previous Charbroil grill. My previous grill had an whole tray with a grease assembler that also slid out of that assembly. It made for indeed easy cleaning. I'm wondering how I'm going to clean this one without removing all of the burners. Except for that this grill is a great bargain. The stainless steel burners are so productive I have to cook with them turned down to approximately off. indeed can't go wrong with this deal from Amazon. I saved over $30 on this deal as compared to where I approximately ordered it at Sportsman's Guide.

Best Grill For The Price : Cuisinart CGG-200 All-Foods 12,000-BTU Tabletop Propane Gas Grill

As other reviewers have stated, this is a lot of grill for a portable. It heats up fast and the cast iron grate produces those 'killer grill marks' that are the signature of any grillmaster.

A merge of things about the grill that aren't mentioned: the grate is reversible. Why would you want to do this? On one side, the bars of the grate come to a point, like an inverted 'V'. This is fine for steaks and more 'solid' foods. If you turn the grate over, the face is flat and wider. If you are grilling burgers or delicate foods, it is easier to get a spatula under the food for easy turning. One other point: You can attach a hose to the grill and use your 20lb. Propane tank. I called Cuisinart and they confirmed that you could do this if you made sure that the connections were free of leaks. This ensures that you will all the time have fullness of fuel (if you check the tank or have a pressure gauge) when you need it and can grill for longer times.

I am pretty much of a charcoal man but this one was too good to pass up. The weather has been just awful here and though it says that we are in the summer season, it just continues to rain and rain.... The yard is a swamp even when the sun does make a rare appearance so I just place the Cuisinart on the picnic table and in a merge of minutes, we are ready to grill. I for real can't say enough about how well this one is built and more importantly, how it performs. Even the stainless veggie tray is a recognition by the manufacturer that people's tastes go beyond customary grill fare. In short...buy it...it's a bit pricey for a transportable but in this case, it is true that 'you'll only cry once'!

After any years my old cheap Charbroil grill was on its last legs. I love to grill and I live in New England and I am the guy who shovels a path to his grill after a snowstorm. A few years ago I bought a Weber Smokey Mountain was very impressed at the quality. Thick gauge steel, very well designed, and easy to use. So when I decided to get a new grill I knew it would be a Weber and I wanted something that would last me 10 years plus. I would rather spend more money now than to rebuy something new a few years later. This lead me to the Genesis S330. I wanted stainless because more to avoid rot than for the aesthetics (it is a good seeing grill) and I needed one with a side burner. I have a glass-top galvanic stove in my kitchen and the side burner will let me use my cast iron pans for obvious recipes. Plus I can cook beans at cookouts, corn on the cob, lobster, etc. Without going back and forth to the kitchen.

It was very well packaged, read the instructions when you unpack it because it also tells you where each part is in the box so it is easier to put together. Its also heavy, in the range of 180 pounds, and I was alone when it arrived. So I skipped that step and took the pieces out into the backyard bit by bit. It took me longer to put together but my back was much happier. Assembly took about 3 hours with me taking my time to make sure I put it together right. A few parts are easy to setup backwards so retrace your steps if something isn't fitting right.

Cooking on the grill is nothing short of amazing. It heats up fast and the sear center is excellent. I cooked filet mignon to the perfect medium rare by turning on all burners and using the sear center to high. Put the steak over the sear center and cook for1 1/2 minutes, rotate 90 degrees (for diamond grill marks), cook for 1 1/2 minutes, flip and sear for an further 3 minutes. Next turn off the sear center and middle burner, move the steak to the town of the grill and cook for an further 3 minutes (indirect heat.) Rest for 5 minutes. It had an awesome crust, great texture, nice and juicy. best than what I can get at most restaurants.

If you are thinking about spending the money on a good grill I would go with the Genesis 330. If money is an issue check out Weber's Spirit line. whether way you unmistakably can't go wrong with a Weber product.

Price is right; it's at least $75 or more less high-priced than anyone comparable that I can find locally. Doesn't unmistakably "flare up" like my last grill would, but I'm not sure why (better produce / wider flame covers?). I just know that I like it. :-)

Took me about 2 hours and 45 mins to put together, but that was with my three kids "helping" a dog and two cats "supervising" and so not too bad all in all.
